In this tutorial we walk you through the step-by-step process of linking an existing Ethereum wallet address to your Bridge Wallet profile.
Linking addresses allows you to attach multiple addresses to the identification profile that you have registered in Bridge Wallet or on our website. If you haven't done so yet, you can register in "My Profile" in Bridge Wallet's settings.
In this way, you will be able to use multiple addresses to transact asset tokens that are subject to compliance rules, such as the MPS token.
When you are on Bridge Wallet's main screen, click on "Addresses" in the screen's bottom menu.
On this screen, you can see the current wallet address that you are accessing with Bridge Wallet, as well as all the other wallet addresses that you have already linked (if any).
Click on the "Link an Address" button to link a new address.
Type or scan the Ethereum address that you want to link.
This step shows you information on the address you have just entered. You can give it a name, and you must confirm that you are the owner of that address.
To enact the link of the new address with your identification profile, we must verify that you are in control of the new address that you want to link for security and compliance reasons.
To do so, you will need to make a transaction from the new address to our verification address.
That transaction will be automatically rejected from our side, we just need to confirm that you are able to send from that address.
Make sure that you send the exact ETH amount displayed on your screen (not this one). It is a very tiny amount (a fraction of a cent) that is a unique identifying code used to validate your transaction.
Of course, you need to have ETH on your address to send the transaction, although it will be rejected and the amount will be returned to you.
Our system will verify your confirmation transaction, which can take up to 48 hours, and your new linked address will automatically switch to an approved (green) status once it will be validated.
In the meantime, you will see it in a pending (grey) status.
